I blinked and it was September. Time really does fly by! Summer was long, and hot, and I don’t know about you all, but I am more than ready for the fall colors, temperatures, and ambiance. To set you up for success, I wanted to share some inspiration on creating in your most sacred space (AKA your home of course).
I’ll tell you what, nothing inspires uniqueness in my home more than a visit to the Antique Mall, any and all. My work travels take me all over the place, and yesterday on the way home from Fort Wayne, Indiana, I saw a sign off the interstate that said, “ANTIQUE MALL EXIT HERE” and when I tell you that my instincts took over and I jumped over 2 lanes of traffic, I am still downplaying how little I really did think about it. Something inside my soul just screamed YAS and my navigation switched to autopilot.
Anyways, I rummaged around every corner and vendor booth in the place for probably two hours, and left feeling exhausted, but also gratified. There is so much coolness in old things. They have class, and character. They look like they are just begging to tell you a story, and sometimes i look at things and think…how in the world did anyone ever actually use this? Vintage stuff rocks and we should all have some appreciation for it, regardless of how much you have in your home.
